In sunny Oklahoma, cowboy Curly (Gordon MacRae) has fallen madly in love with local girl Laurey (Shirley Jones), but ever the good girl, Laurey plays hard-to-get, even after he asks her to the box social. When lonely farmhand Jud Fry (Rod Steiger) also asks Laurey to the social, she agrees to go with him in an effort to make Curley jealous. After Jud realises that Laurey is really in love with Curley, his anger gets the better of him and chaos ensues. (20th Century Fox Home Entertainment)
