The setting of this anime series was very close to my heart. In all honesty, I found myself immersed in many of the scenes, as some situations felt all too familiar. This was very much like everyday life, full of apt and clever parallels, and complete with an endearing juxtaposition of the carefree simplicity and sincerity of childhood versus the adult world where one has to control yourself and pretend... It was not a comedy that had me rolling with laughter, some of the jokes were not actually that funny, however, they gave believability to the characters and the plot. There is also a lot of food for thought here. There are likable characters and the actors give great performances which made it an enjoyable experience. I am more than satisfied, 8/10! ()
