A serial killer is stalking the peaceful town of Cherry Falls. At first it seems that he is just targeting teenagers, but after the third killing it becomes clear that all the victims have been virgins. When the town's students hear about this they realise that there is only one way to protect themselves and begin planning a 'meet and mate' party where they will all lose their virginities together. Meanwhile, Jodi (Brittany Murphy), the virtuous daughter of the town's sheriff (Michael Biehn), decides to take matters into her own hands and trap the killer herself. (101 Films)

Cherry Falls is simply a product of its time and trend. The only thing that saves the film a bit is Brittany Murphy, who is believable and does what is expected of her. Plus, she looks pretty good as a brunette, but that's because I first saw her as a blonde. The film is otherwise a classic slasher that tries but simply doesn't have what it takes to truly captivate. Well, maybe it's not really trying that hard. ()
