When a child goes missing the local community are put on high alert. Local head teacher Helen (Rachael Stirling) and her sister Theresa (Anna Maxwell Martin) find themselves being drawn into the mystery of the disappearance when their own children are seen to be disposing of a mobile phone that may provide clues to the disappearance.
