Mom

As a Tsotsil Mexican I grew up surrounded by the sacredness of the Virgin of Guadalupe and Mother Earth, as the son of a single mother I grew up surrounded by ridicule for not having a father and blaming my mother for it; I grew up between adoration and contempt for the mother. Mom is a dialogue between mother and son who explore their contradictions, who know and recognize each other, who reflect on naturalized violence and its reproduction. Being and making us family.
