English A captivating example of how it's possible to make a film about how monstrous people can be, yet still maintain a glimmer of hope that things might eventually get better. Cruelty is part of our lives. It's an unnecessary part, but it's so easy to criticize someone when they let you... Powerful and emotive, even despite the slow Japanese pace. ()
