English Oh, my little green-eyed darling... It could be divided into three purely conventional genre segments. First, an introduction to the director and the characters, where we find out that the former likes Stephen King and gothic rock, while the latter enjoy drinking, medication, and simmering grievances. Next, the children, with their mischievous glances and devilish jackets, build a sense of threat that no one believes because of childlike innocence, lithium, and don't mess with my family. And then comes the finale, where everyone has an epiphany before they scream, the tension is almost zero, and the gore is satisfied with a machete stand made from a collarbone. Normally, these three parts should build up to increase tension, but here you're met with only stagnation. ()
