English Husband Sematary. The result of gardening with mandrake and placing Baby Jesus on a cross in a drawer is a collection of spouses in the forms of soulless bodies, zombies filled with vanilla yogurt, or perhaps Groot. The mythological introductory credits, the setting in an unconventional historical period for the genre, the acceptable length, and the music taking a cue from Goldsmith’s "Alien" partially compensate for the unconvincing effects and slight clumsiness in the interaction of the undead characters (e.g., the presence of sauerkraut with sausage). By the way, Adèle was unfortunate in that Lord Flashheart didn’t come by her place. She would have had a towel rack for a while and completely forgotten about her husband. ()
