Plots(1)

The two orphaned sisters, Ginger (Katharine Isabelle) and Brigitte (Emily Perkins), are making their way across a cold, harsh winter wilderness when they stumble upon the remains of a broken-down Indian outpost that has been the target of a series of savage attacks from werewolves, who have killed a substantial percentage of the community's population. After one of the few survivors, a wise old woman, issues them with an oblique and ominous warning, the young women are helped out by an enigmatic Indian man known only as 'The Hunter' - but it may already be too late for Ginger. English It's a bit of a mix between the first episode of Ginger Snaps (Ginger is bitten again first and her sister takes care of her) and the horror film Ravenous (a rundown fortress in the 19th century, surrounded not by cannibals but werewolves). This is guaranteed to be the bloodiest installment in the entire series. The effects are again lacklustre, but they don't offend. On the other hand, the make-up effects are perfect as always (especially Wolfboy). The idea to make a prequel and not a sequel was also not the worst decision and the ending was really surprising (at least for me). ()

English The Canadian prequel Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning is one of those movies that I wish I had not wasted my time on. In terms of historical accuracy, I think it was pretty good, although I was not interested in the origins thing. I liked the way the werewolf sisters were conceived in the first movie Ginger Snaps. ()
