English Gunfight at the O.K. Corral is definitely a great western. At first, it doesn’t seem like much, especially when Doc’s girlfriend goes on an emotional rollercoaster—starting with threats, then pretending she doesn’t care, only to crawl back when Doc doesn't even blink. When she gets too clingy, he smacks her without hesitation. But once Kirk Douglas as Doc teams up with Burt Lancaster, the real fun kicks in, and it’s full-on guy's entertainment. I was hooked...until any of the women showed up again. Let’s just say, the female characters didn’t get much to work with in this one. ()

English Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday are great characters, but it certainly helped them when Lancaster took Earp under his wing and Kirk Douglas got a shot at Doc, who is once again absolutely irresistible. Their joint, albeit quite different, campaign is thrilling, full of emotions, and in the end, there is even some serious shooting. ()
