Slim (Bud Abbott) and Tubby (Lou Costello) are a pair of inept US cops visiting London to study English police methods. An encounter with beautiful young suffragette Vicky Edwards (Helen Westcott) leads to the discovery that her uncle, Dr. Henry Jekyll (Boris Karloff), has created a potion, which transforms him into the evil Mr. Hyde (Eddie Parker), monstrous scourge of the city. Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is an American production demonstrating that even Bud Abbott and Lou Costello did not always make outstanding comedy. It is not absolutely terrible, although they could have done much better. It feels like the movie suffered because Abbott and Costello took up so much screen time.
