English Piety, dwelling in sin, brimstone, and the search for an incubus key to fix the tractor. Wes Craven's bridge to commercial success feels conflicting. There's an occasional glimpse of atmosphere, but if it weren't for those few murders, it would feel like filler in an '80s rural farm porn plot (it should be noted, lesbian porn, because Ernest Borgnine with a glued-on beard and even the handsome Michael Berryman don't meet the aesthetic standards). It's hard to say if the very end buried or saved it. But it definitely fixed the floor. ()
