David (Albert Brooks) and Linda Howard (Julie Hagerty) are successful yuppies from LA. When he gets a job disappointment, David convinces Linda that they should quit their jobs, liquidate their assets, and emulate the movie Easy Rider, spending the rest of their lives travelling around America… in a Winnebago! At the beginning, it had a promising start for a film that would be interesting both in terms of dialogue and the overall story. After the spouses arrived in Las Vegas, it started to get a bit dull, and the development was slightly bizarre but essentially uneventful. Albert Brooks is a great civil actor, but as a director, he didn't quite excel in this case. ()
