The jokes fly and the fun never stops as the Tune Squad takes on the Nerdlucks in a hardcourt game to decide if the Looney Tunes remain here..or become attractions at a far-off galactic off-ramp called Moron mountain. The Nerdlucks have a monstrous secret weapon on their side: they've stolen the skills of top NBA star like Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing and become Monstars. But that's not all folks. The Tune Squad also has a secret weapon. And he just happens to be the finest player in this or any other universe. He's outta this world. So's the fun. (Warner Bros. UK)

English I can imagine what a phenomenon Michael Jordan was in the mid-90s. And when he appeared on screen alongside the legendary Looney Tunes characters, it must have been a real revelation. However, by the time this film was popular on every VHS, I had unfortunately missed it. So I can only offer a purely objective opinion. For its time, the visual effects are praiseworthy. Combining animation and live-action in one film must have been a tremendous effort. Even after all these years, it looks quite decent. The cadence of jokes is sometimes incredible, with the creators constantly bombarding you with catchphrases (most of which are good). And when you add MJ’s charisma (fortunately, he’s not a complete acting disaster), you get some solid family entertainment. For me, it’s a 6.5/10. ()

English Easygoing and unpretentious Sunday afternoon fun for the whole family. Michael Jordan plays Michael Jordan really well and you can tell that the role was tailor made for him. :-) ()

English Watching Space Jam, one realizes (who may have hesitated until then) what a great visionary and visual mastermind Robert Zemeckis is, whose Roger Rabbit, eight years younger than this film, still looks flawless (!). Space Jam also entertains, but not nearly as much as in my childhood, when I almost loved it... The outdated and null story and Michael Jordan's (non)acting are no longer simply unnoticeable. Actually, all things considered, the cartoon actors in this goofy flick are matched only by Bill Murray. But even he has work to do. Thanks for the short runtime and for keeping it moving. ()
