Plots(1)
Rise of the Footsoldier charts the inexorable rise of Carlton Leach from one of the most feared generals of the football terraces to becoming a member of a notorious gang of criminals who rampaged their ways through London and Essex in the late eighties, and early nineties. Reviews (1)
Gritty, sometimes very realistic, but also quite annoying at times, which is a shame because otherwise, it could be quite a good story, albeit one that is dragged out. A simpler version of The Godfather in the British style, but unfortunately, there aren't characters that can keep you engaged and intrigued throughout. And two hours isn't exactly a short amount of time. ()
