Anna Kalman (Ingrid Bergman) is a wealthy actress whose love affairs never last for long. When she meets businessman Philip Adams (Cary Grant) at a NATO dinner, she is attracted to him. He reveals that he is married, but this does not prevent them embarking on a love affair. However, just as Philip prepares to depart for a job in New York, Anna discovers that he has been less than honest with her. (Universal Pictures UK)
