English A horror gem that has been totally ignored by Czech viewers. A mother suffering from post-partum depression wants to murder her beloved child and, since this is an indie production, she doesn’t mess around much and goes full-on to achieve her mad goal. It’s bold, nicely short and with a good pace, and the child protagonist is unusually bearable. I strongly recommend this film, it’s a big shame that nobody knows it. ()

English A mother's head goes to shit after giving birth and after her husband leaves she murders all the children, chickens, pigs, cows and the farmer next door. Nothing more, nothing less. On the one hand, a fine and authentic film, a total transformation of the mother into a psychopath and a realistic atmosphere at times, but on the other hand, it's a terrible B-movie with an annoying TV look that doesn't have anything extra. And I was expecting the scenes of the children being killed to be more explicit, gory and overall I was hoping for more carnage. ()

English Baby Blues isn't a film on a pleasant topic, but a horror about what can happen when something isn't right with a person. And such cases can indeed happen. All too often we hear that the mother couldn't cope, or what was found buried in the garden. This is an explicit demonstration, but a demonstration that will make you think about what might be going on in this world. It's presented well. ()
