James Mason is more or less a guarantee of quality for me in any case, and he didn't disappoint me in this film either. It is also beautifully fantasy, mainly thanks to the excellent source material, but also due to the execution. These are the old effects that I just love, plus the work with the lizards turned out well. They look wonderfully believable as giant lizards. Naive, yet beautiful. ()
