English With the corners of Newcastle at heart, Mike Figgis wrote, cast Sting, financed with American money, composed the music, and created a peculiar neo-noir. Through Roger Deakins, the city of Tyne is utilized as thoroughly as the atmosphere of jazz jamming and melancholic music. The blazoned Gordon Sumner and the nasty American Tommy Lee Jones may be unnecessarily overshadowing the central duo, whose female half, for reasons unknown before filming, went to the hairdresser, stuck a picture of Chucky on the mirror with gum, and said, "Like this!" I’d hate to spoil the ending, but Sean Bean unexpectedly... ()
