A band of specialist hunters face a terrifying creature that stalks the residents of a quiet rural village, in this horror from director Louis Morneau. With his village beset by an ancient and deadly predator, Daniel (Guy Wilson) joins forces with a mysterious group of professional hunters (Ed Quinn, Steven Bauer, Adam Croasdell) to finally hunt down the creature. But as the bloodletting rises, and the villagers start to turn on themselves as their neighbours transform, the group soon realise they're up against a fiercely formidable foe, and one that is more dangerous than they had ever imagined. English Werewolf: The Beast Among Us is a film that doesn't impress and most of the time probably doesn't offend. It's nothing groundbreaking, but if I compare it to the 2009 Werewolf, I don't see that much of a difference. Yes, the bigger budget allowed for better actors, but story-wise it was very bad. I quite enjoyed this film within its limits, and as a fair critic, I'll give it almost an average rating. ()

English Dumber in the script, duller in the visuals, a slightly retarded cousin of the more famous The Wolfman, but it offers a few decent scares, lots of dismembered bodies and a bizarre denouement. Within its genre, it's a below-average piece of work that you probably won't remember tomorrow. P.S. I don't think I've ever seen an invalid horse in a movie before. ()
