Director Lucio Fulci is revered by Quentin Tarantino who planned to remake The Psychic and also used its music in Kill Bill. Unusually for Fulci, this film is mostly without his otherwise characteristic ultra-gore... In this captivating suspenseful whodunit with a final twist, beautiful Jennifer O'Neill, fresh from Luchino Visconti’s The Innocent, plays Virginia a woman who has psychic powers. Now newly married and well-off, Virginia becomes plagued by waking visions of bloody deaths and meaningless torment. With the aid of her parapsychologist friend (Marc Porel), who carries a torch for her, they try to discover the meaning of these horrific visions only to slowly discover that these are premonitions of future deaths...
