Madame Bovary messed up her life through and through and we watch that today. A romantic book adaptationfilmed a thousand times and always the same. But I actually saw a few movies proving that it can be done in an original manner. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. And Mia Wasikowska can’t save the movie either.

Unfortunately, I've confirmed that I have a problem with Mia Wasikowska, and I don't enjoy watching films with her in them. Add to that a costume drama about a woman who is bored at home and seeks some excitement, for which she must pay the price. The source material has been filmed so many times, and the story rehashed in various ways, that I could only sigh over it.
