Plots(1)
1929 – The Shelby family have dispersed: Michael is living at Shelby Company headquarters in Detroit, while Aunt Polly is holed up with a pilot in Monte Carlo. But the family are quickly brought back together when news of the Wall Street Crash hits and its implications for the family business become clear. Meanwhile, Tommy’s political career is going from strength to strength; he gives a rousing speech in the House of Commons. It’s not long, however, before ghosts from Tommy’s past threaten to undermine his position. (BBC)

It might not go down in history as one of Peaky Blinders' best episodes, but it held my interest. While it didn't deliver much action, it kept a steady pace that kept me engaged. I have a feeling this season has some promising moments in store. ()
So, the Shelbys made it to high politics after a long time. So far, it is “only” a very attractively written story, with he exception of the murder by the end. Let’s see what happens. So far it looks like a meandering plot at the expense of pace and dynamism. ()
Starts brilliantly, with the Wall Street Crash and the essential introduction of various plot lines. Tommy’s appearance in Parliament and the interview with the journalist are super. A powerful ending with the son full of hatred. No, I'm not God. Not yet. ()
