Herman Yau's new flick didn't turn out badly at all, but it comes off to me as probably the weakest of his work so far. I'm certainly glad that Asia didn't turn out ghost flicks or comedy madness again, but returned to an already rather stale subgenre. The protagonist has visions that allow us to see a lot of disturbing scenes, there is also a decent gore towards the end, but the slight digital mess in the form of black "fog" by the end bothered me, it was absolutely not appropriate here. Apparently the director just wanted to liven it up, unfortunately he did himself a disservice, but I still have a rather positive impression of the film. 65% ()
