English Throughout the film, it's evident that it doesn't want to be primarily a cruel film, even though it depicts human cruelty. Above all, it's a film about a man who found himself in an undoubtedly unenviable situation. In some cases, fate is forgiving, and things can turn out relatively well. Unfortunately, the film's outcome can then be quite lackluster. ()
