English Choosing this film turned out to be the right call. Well, except for the opening setup with the shooting incident. I’m no firearms expert, but from what I’ve picked up here and there, I’m fairly certain that if someone were to find a gun that’s been buried in rubble for ten years, it probably wouldn’t be in firing condition. And even if it could somehow go off, I’m guessing the real danger would be to the shooter, not the target. That was easily the weakest point in the whole movie—though I’d put the fistfights as a close second. Any MMA fighter would be jealous watching these guys take endless hits to the chin without even flinching. It almost veered into unintentional comedy at times. But despite those quirks, the story kept me entertained, the cast didn’t let me down, and I mostly chose to overlook the film’s occasional absurdities. / Lesson learned: Always confess quickly—it’ll save you a lot of hassle. 3*+ ()
