After discovering that their mother (Glenn Close) has been lying to them for years about their dad, who they believed died when they were kids, non-identical twin brothers Kyle and Peter Reynolds (Owen Wilson and Ed Helms) go on a journey to uncover the true identity of their biological father. Their formerly promiscuous mother sends them down to Miami Beach in search of former football star Terry Bradshaw, who she claims is their real father. However, when they discover more than they ever wanted to about their family and their mother's life in the '70s, they realise there's more than one potential father figure out there. (Warner Bros. English Pretty decent work for a debut and it's good to see Owen Wilson after a long time. The story is quite interesting, about twins who decide to search for their father and find out that it won't be easy the first time, as their mother was raging at the disco in the 70s and had no problem spreading her legs. There are a few funny sexual innuendos, it's well paced and surprisingly has a very good final twist that was a decent surprise. 65%. ()

English Owen Wilson and Ed Helms definitely have comic potential, and it showed in some scenes, but this journey to find one’s own father didn't work. It's lengthy, playing on the performances of the supporting actors without the script giving them anything interesting. Another bad, well-cast American comedy. ()
