French film-maker and actor Jacques Tati reprises his character Monsieur Hulot from his 1953 film Mr. Hulot's Holiday. Hulot lives in a small backstreet dwelling which contrasts sharply with his sister and brother-in-law Madame and Monsieur Arpel (Adrienne Servantie and Jean-Pierre Zola)'s excessively modern, suburban lifestyle. When Monsieur Arpel becomes concerned about the influence Hulot is having on his young son Gérard (Alain Bécourt), he gives his brother-in-law a job at his factory. (StudioCanal UK)
