English Season 1: Middle East/Islam, Great. Season 2: Venezuela, Great. Season 3. Russia, BORING. Quite a topical subject, but I was hardly entertained. There is woefully little action (almost no fights), nothing to remember. Lots of politicking, betrayals and bullshit, but this isn't Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon, so it didn't work at all for me and I had great difficulty finishing it.The Terminal List with Chris Pratt was like much better in every way (story, action, pacing, militarism). For me, barely average. 5/10. ()

English American productions set in Czechia are always a delight because they combine filmmaking quality with familiar locations. And it’s even more exciting with a great series like Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. It must be said, however, that compared to the two previous seasons there is a noticeable drop not only in quality but also in the fun of the locations. The first season came up with something new and the second excelled with Venezuela, but the third is already a carbon copy of other mediocre action series. The power struggles between the US and Russia have been rehashed a thousand times and are not entertaining, and here they made even worse by the fact that there are only two stealth action scenes and the rest is political chatter, intrigues of government officials and nuclear war scares. There are no major fights, shootouts, in short anything that would be fun to watch; instead we get endless talking and moving from A to B. The biggest asset of the whole brand is John Krasinski and his character, he is such a likable and charismatic guy and he pulls the project up, but here, paradoxically, he's been given less space and is just a kind of a side character in the background of politics. Also, the quality is undermined by the English language of all three parties involved, with the Russians and the Czechs losing all national authenticity. All in all, this is a purely mediocre affair that had the makings of being a fantastic sequel to an action franchise that is already a cult-classic for some, but this time is just off the mark. The rivalry of Russia and the US is in every other movie nowadays, and considering the omission of Krasinski, I don't really know what I can praise Season 3 for... ()
