English I want somebody explain to me how out of touch this A-list cast was when they signed the contract to be in this film (most of them appeared for 5-10 minutes at most, Anthony Mackie only for about 5 seconds...). The Woman in the Window had the potential to be a second The Girl on the Train (read mystery, suspense, drama, thriller), but the result is such an incredibly boring, unengaging, draggy mess that I suffered a lot to finish it. I'd say it starts out like Disturbia from Aliexpress, continues like an Amy Adams one woman show where you don’t know if she's the one going crazy or those around her, but gradually evolves into nonsense that isn't surprising, isn't shocking, and certainly isn't interesting. A talky film that you can put on headphones with no visuals and will have the same experience, maybe even do better if you fall asleep to the film and wake up after 90 minutes and consider the film seen. You won't miss anything and you’ll still get a good nap. ()

English A nicely visually conceived psychothriller that will make you expect some kind of elaborate mindfuck, because all the characters behave from the beginning as if they came from another world. But in the end it just alternates unsurprising twists we've seen a hundred times with slightly surprising ones – but that's only because they're so stupid that no one would seriously think of them. On other occasions, I would have waved a hand over this film, but considering the filmmakers – for the umpteenth time in a short period – it has to be said that it's pretty crap. ()

English I decided to watch The Woman in the Window after work one day. I started brewing some coffee, turned on the movie, and while waiting, I went outside to check on my chili peppers. I ended up chatting with my neighbor, and by the time I came back, the movie was over. So, I gave it another shot, but an hour in, I realized I wasn’t paying attention at all. Out of respect for the story, I decided to watch it again, but as I suspected, the only good thing about this film is Amy Adams. I’m not sure what’s going on in Hollywood lately, but it seems like they’re making movies with weak scripts while the actors deliver stellar performances. The premise is interesting, but from the start, the film felt like it was in some kind of psychedelic haze. It didn’t make much sense, was unappealing, and that lack of coherence was especially obvious as it neared the end. I wanted to give it three stars out of respect for Amy’s performance, but I’ve come to realize that a great acting job just isn’t enough these days. Unfortunately. ()

English This light mystery thriller in the style of the 1990 on Netflix is a pretty decent genre snack, but it's missing drive, darkness, style, mystery, and violence. The story focuses on Amy Adams, an agoraphobic, who spies on her neighbors across the street and witnesses a murder. No one believes her, and the question is whether she is crazy or everyone is trying to cover up the evidence. The film keeps the viewer in suspense until the last minutes, and the final reveal is actually surprising. I didn't expect it from any of the possible scenarios I had prepared, and I appreciate and welcome it. The impressive cast is also good, although most of the familiar faces appear for only a few minutes. The music is decent, and there is one unexpected jump-scare that is well done. The finale is quite thrilling, so I don't have a significant problem with the film, but compared to similar thrillers in recent times such as Gone Girl and Run, The Woman in the Window seems a bit weaker. It is still watchable, though, and female viewers with a glass of wine in hand will definitely enjoy it. 6.5/10. ()

English Joe Wright likes Hitchcock, that is evident, and that is fine. It's a pity that the screenwriter didn't care about The Woman in the Window, because the finale is, well, awkward. I was definitely expecting something more interesting than the slightly anticipated showdown, which only impressed me with Wright's direction, Amy Adams' performance and Danny Elfman's music, but not much by what (and who) it was about. Otherwise, I am satisfied, and the scene with the car is, in my opinion, quite unforgettable. ()
