This is quite a pleasant journey back into the pastel-colored '80s, with a well-chosen soundtrack (starting with Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" in the first episode), and testosterone-fuelled action produced by Michael Mann, who later made a full-length feature remake. Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas are a cool duo, and I would happily watch their adventures again in the next seasons. The music was produced by the Czechoslovakian composer Jan Hammer, and I have to say that in many episodes it is an unforgettable integral part of the story ("Crockett's Theme", wow!). Miami Vice is a classic crime drama, in which a lot of today's highly-regarded actors and directors started their careers. I am surprised that there is no Czech television channel willing to put this series out these days. ()
