Kong is a deaf-mute hitman working in modern day Bangkok. He carries out each of his killings with a cold, silent efficiency, appearing totally detached from the world around him. But when he then meets and befriends pharmacy assistant Fon, he discovers a kindness and tenderness he never imagined existed and determines to start-over afresh. It's a pity, I expected the film to be about snipers and the main character only holds a sniper rifle once in the whole film and he is deaf and dumb, which bothers me a lot when the main character (a gangster) can't drop any wisecracks in the whole film. The romantic insert also bothered me a lot, it took away from the pace. On the other hand, I'm surprised by the rather good visuals considering the age of the film and the decent bloody finale, but it's not enough for more than 3 stars.

I have to say, I was rather annoyed by the gratuitous Pang visual "tweaks" the whole time. The characters were pretty weak too, and at least a few of those shootouts and fancy shots hit fertile ground. After all, my expectations weren't exactly high after the mega-funny American remake.
