The Fan

Gil Renard (Robert De Niro), a failed salesman and devoted fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team, receives a restraining order from his ex-wife after he abandons his son at a game. Gil becomes obsessed with the Giants' star player Bobby Rayburn (Wesley Snipes) and when Rayburn has a streak of bad luck, Gil goes over the edge and will stop at nothing to restore his idol's reputation.
