Inside (2002)
You never know how many personalities someone might have. You never know which one you're talking to. What I do know is that this short is not lacking in dynamism and ends with a great twist.
What's Virgin Mean? (2008)
If it wasn't for the twist at the end, this short would have sunk into the mire of mediocrity. But I recommend it - short, light and funny.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)
The third installment of the pirate saga frankly didn't impress me much. The running time is unbelievably excessive due to a lot of unnecessary scenes, along with some completely awkward ones, like the wedding on the ship or almost every scene with Orlando Bloom, who really got on my nerves. In terms of acting, however, the trio of Johnny Depp, Bill Nighy and Geoffrey Rush did not disappoint. In terms of technical workmanship, the film is a spectacle, full of great visual effects and excellent music, for instance the final battle by the maelstrom. All in all, this third part is full of twists and intrigue (that didn't need to be there) and unfortunately, it's not as good as the previous two.
The Chubbchubbs! (2002)
Descendants (2008)
In many ways a well-crafted short that has decent animation, captivating music and well-chosen voice acting. But things like the colt walking on two legs and the overly long and slow start-up spoil the overall impression.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
I found the sequel to the highly successful Pirates of the Caribbean to be on the same level as the first one - Jack Sparrow is still as crazy and funny, Liz Swan is still the same “fragile damnsel” ... and now the irresistible Davey Jones, whose appearance inspires fear and respect, has been added. There were plenty of funny scenes that didn't really make me laugh, but still entertained. The visuals of the Kraken and his were good, as was the unmistakable soundtrack. In short, once again, a nice dose of humour with a somewhat excessive running time.
Destino (2003)
I've never been a fan of surrealist art, but since I know what it's all about from school, this film stood up to the scrutiny in terms of execution. The music perfectly illustrated the rest. But I wouldn't watch it a second time.
