This is a story about clothing. It's about the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the industry is having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing? Filmed in countries all over the world, from the brightest runways to the darkest slums, and featuring interviews with the world's leading influencers including Stella McCartney, Livia Firth and Vandana Shiva, The True Cost is an unprecedented project that invites us on an eye opening journey around the world and into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothes. English The idea of the whole documentary in the sense of "Man, before you buy a new shirt next time, think about who and what is behind it and if you need it at all" is quite clearly expressed from the beginning, but the overall concept is not that appealing. The conversations with Bangladeshi minimum wage workers get old after a while and to be honest I was expecting more interesting facts, information and a more attractive form of presentation. As it is, it's an interesting idea that we all kind of subconsciously know about, but that's where it ends. ()

English I'll probably enjoy any movie that highlights this issue because it simply shows how hypocritical our beautiful world can be. When you see those influencers on YouTube buying things they don't even want, things that don't suit them, and it's all just about clothes, you wonder why some people even bother living and what the point of their lives is. And if there's a point to all this. I wish something would change. ()
