Influenced by Dario Argento’s horror classic Suspiria, director Norman J Warren and screenwriter David McGillivray – reteaming two years after the success of Satan’s Slave – created an offbeat blend of satire and the supernatural, sending up the British exploitation film industry while delivering ever more outlandish set-pieces. An eclectic cast list includes John Nolan, Carolyn Courage, Glynis Barber and Peter Mayhew, best known for playing Chewbacca in the Star Wars movies. (Powerhouse Films)
